Sumatra is the second largest islandof the Republic of Indonesia. This coffee has a complex and condensed flavour, which is admired by enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. Approximately 15 of all the coffee grown in Indonesia is Arabica. Our Sumatra Mandheling Arabica coffee beans are full bodied, deep and rich. We love roasting this because Sumatran beans have the distinctive blue glassy colour until they're roasted fully, they also have a very distinctive shape, rather a long bean… have a look at the shape before you grind! Cultivated on Mount Luser where the soil is rich in volcanic ash, an ideal environment for growing coffee. Sumatra Mandheling is a very distinguishable coffee and as its name suggests, comes from Sumatra in Indonesia.
